Blood diseases

Blood consists of a group of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and a liquid part called blood plasma. The science that studies blood and its problems and disorders of blood pathology (Hematology), and blood diseases are defined as diseases that affect one or more components of the blood to negatively affect its basic function, and there are several causes of blood diseases, including;, Lack of nutrition, other diseases, and the use of certain medications.

  •   Red blood cell disorders   

They are a group of disorders of red blood cells, which are responsible for transporting oxygen to all tissues of the body. [4] These include: 

1- Anemia  

It is known that there is a small amount of healthy red blood cells, and this causes fatigue, pallor of the skin, and shortness of breath, especially when to stress, and there is more than one type of anemia and the most important:

Iron-deficiency anemia is caused by a lack of iron-rich food, a loss of blood in menstruation or a digestive problem. Anemia of chronic diseases Some chronic diseases, such as chronic kidney disease, can lead to anemia. Pernicious anemia is caused by a weakness in the lining of the stomach, which may prevent the absorption of vitamin B12, or from an autoimmune condition.

Thalassemia (Thalassemia) is a type of hereditary anemia. The Mediterranean Sea is famous for thalassemia. Sickle cell anemia is a genetic condition in which red blood cells are vicious and harsh in nature.

2-Real polycythemia
Polycythemia vera is the formation of a large number of red blood cells for no apparent reason.

  • White blood cell disorders

It is a group of disorders that affect white blood cells, which help to fight infections, [4] and include the following: 

1-Lymphoma: It is the growth of a cancerous tumor in the lymphatic system, so that white blood cells multiply and spread abnormally.

 2-Leukemia: It is a blood cancer that affects the bone marrow. White blood cells multiply and spread malignantly, and leukemia can be treated with chemotherapy or bone marrow transplant.

3-Multiple myeloma: A type of blood cancer, which is the growth of a white blood cell called plasma cells, causing damage to some organs due to the output of harmful substances

4-Pure co-ordinate dysfunction syndrome; This is a group of blood cancers that affect the bone marrow, which can develop to severe and severe leukemia.
